Squirrel Run
#1 – 310 yards, Par 4
This hole requires an accurate drive, down the right side you will find trees that will hinder any second shot. To far left and you are flirting with a bunker and trees. The perfect shot for the longer hitters is a 5 iron to the center of the fairway with a wedge or a 9 iron into the green.
#2 – 131 yards, Par 3
Depending on the wind this hole is a straight on shot. With a right pin location the water on the right can come in to play if the shot is short. With left pin location this hole sets up for a lot of birdies. Longer hitters will use a sand or pitching wedge.
#3 – 140 yards, Par 3
This hole with its large green is tempting to shoot at the flag. The hole is heavily wooded on the left side. You have water in front of the green which you cannot see from the tee. A right side green side bunker that will get your attention. The shot here is a 8 or a 9 iron for the longer hitters.
#4 – 120 yards, Par 3
Short and straight, one of the easier holes on the course so go for the birdie. With its long green pin placement dictates the club to use. For the longer hitter a lob wedge to a 9 iron is the club of choice.
#5 – 270 yards, Par 4
The second of the three par fours on the course. Don’t be fooled by the short distance on this hole. You need a pinpoint tee shot to avoid all the trouble on this hole. Down the left side you have a very large fairway bunker. To the right fairway is protected by heavy woods. If you feel lucky and can carry the ball 220 give it a rip, if not the smart play is to lay up behind the bunker and a short iron into the green. Longer hitters will use a 6 iron and a wedge to a sloped green.
#6 – 122 yards, Par 3
This par 3 is sneaky. The green shaped like a boomerang is guarded in front by a deep bunker. With a pin placement back left you need a pin point drive to avoid disaster. Longer hitters will hit a wedge into this small green.
#7 – 153 yards, Par 3
With one of the larger greens on the course this hole with an elevated tee is a straight forward shot. Water in front of the green only comes into play on a miss hit tee shot. Bunkers on all sides of the green should not be a concern on a well hit tee shot.
#8 – 170 yards, Par 3
Don’t be fooled by the yardage on this hole. Depending on the wind the hole plays shorter then this distance indicates. One of the harder greens on the course to hit being 39 yards from front to back and only 11 yards wide. Choice of club for longer hitters would be an 8 iron to the center of the green.
#9 – 230 yards, Par 4
The last of the par fours on the course. Don’t be lulled into the short yardage on this hole. Easily reachable if you have the nerves to go for it. Miss your target and get ready to post a big number on your card. Woods down the right side and the green is tucked back right off the fairway. The longer hitter might use a 5 iron to lay up in front and chip on.
#10 – 120 yards, Par 3
Don’t be fooled by the yardage on this hole. Depending on the wind the hole plays longer then this distance indicates. One of the harder pins to go after with a back pin location. A right front pin location will yield many birdies. Longer hitters will use a pitching wedge to a nine iron.
#11-109 yards, Par 3
This green is one of the largest on the course but don’t be fooled, the yardage is to short for a full shot to a front pin location. With a right middle pin you will find it almost impossible to get it close. Should be a lob wedge to a pitching wedge.

#12 – 120 yards, Par 3
A pretty straight forward hole. With a front to middle pin location you should be able to go for the pin, trapped on the right and left side with a nice straight shot traps should not come into play. Longer hitters will use a pitching wedge for a front to middle pin. Back pin should be a smooth nine iron.
#13 – 132 yards, Par 3
The signature hole of the course should not be taken lightly, only 132 yards with a elevated tee over water with a green that slopes from back to front. Depending on the wind and trouble to the left you need to have a accurate shot. Should be a pitching wedge to a nine iron for a front pin. Anything goes with a north east wind.
#14 – 192 yards, Par 3
One of the hardest holes on the course, out of bounds to the left and woods to the right. Trapped in the front of the green you need to hit a straight shot off the tee, take one more club if in doubt. Longer hitters will hit a 5 iron to a 3 iron. The green is large so just keep it in play.
#15 – 125 yards, Par 3
A fun golf hole don’t be fooled by the trouble you can’t see. Trapped in the right front which you can’t see from the tee and trapped in back so don’t be long. Longer hitters will use a sand wedge up to a 9 iron depending on the wind. Should yield many birdies with a middle pin location.
#16 – 128 yards, Par 3
A very intimidating tee shot, a elevated tee to a elevated two tier green and trapped in front. Out of bounds to the right and falling off a big slope to the left. A front pin should be a pitching wedge to a 9 iron. A very fun golf hole.
#17 – 112 yards, Par 3
Don’t be lulled to sleep on this hole, an elevated tee to a slopping green from back to front. Most longer hitters have a problem getting it close with a front pin. Trouble on both the right and left so be straight. Should be a wedge of some sort !!!!
#18 – 125 yards, Par 3
A very wide green but out of bounds if you are long or left. Depending on the pin it should be a pitching wedge to the center of the green. If you are in a match play it safe.
